The Belconnen Presbyteriab Church, Scullin is in the Presbytery of Canberra and part of the Presbyterian Church in the State of New South Wales. Belconnen began as an outreach, and preaching place of the Church of St Andrew's Canberra. The first service was held in the Belconnen Public Library on 19/2/1984, but by November the congregation had outgrown this space. It then moved to the Baptist Church at Page and then the Kaleen Community Hall, which was its home for the next twelve years. In December 1985 it became a Sanctioned Charge and later the Belconnen Home Mission Station under the Moderatorship of the Rev John Baillie (14/6/1994) until his death in 2003. During his tenure the present church building was erected and held its first service on 30/11/1997. The church building was officially opened and dedicated on 28/11/1998 by the Rev Peter Davidson. On 1/7/2013, the Home Mission Station was absorbed into the Pastoral Charge of St Andrew's, and still continues its regular worship [Sourced from: https://www.standrewscanberra.com/more-information-on-belconnen/#].
