The Ukrainian Orthodox Church - The War Memorial Church of St Nicholas - is in the Parish of St Nicholas Canberra and part of the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand of the Ukrainian Autocephalic Orthodox Church in Diaspora. The church building was consecrated on 6/4/1975, and dedicated to the fallen soldiers from the two World Wars. The church building has unusual bronze cupolas and Byzantine mosaics of the Holy Virgin and saints on the outside walls. An adjacent Millennium Memorial Centre was opened in 1988, to commemorate 1000 years of Christianity in Ukraine. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
