The North Canberra Baptist Church, Turner is affiliated with the Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT. The church began as a church plant from the Canberra Baptist Church at Kingston in 1953, and was the second Baptist Church to be established in Canberra. The church held its first service in the Turner Primary School, on 3/12/1953. The present church building was opened on 23/10/1954 by the Rev Dr Townley-Lord, President of the Baptist World Alliance.
