The St Peter's Anglican Church, Weston is part of the Weston Molongo Parish and the Diocese of Canberra & Goulburn. The first service in the area was held on 9/3/1970, in a private home in Waramanga, this was a multi-denomination service. This congregation continued to meet in private homes. In March 1971 the Rev Keith Stephens became a full time Anglican priest and the service moved to the new Weston Primary School. By May a pattern of services evolved to an Anglican service at 8.45am and a multi-denomination service at 10.15am. In 1973, a second Anglican priest was appointed, the Rev Dean Barker, with other services now also held in both of the Fisher and Duffy Primary Schools. By 1975, the Anglican and joint congregations began to look forward to functioning separately, due to the need for larger facilities. In 1976 the Anglican and Uniting Church split into separate groups. On 18/6/1983 St Peter's church building was dedicated by Bishop Warren. The ministry activities continued to grow and a church hall was opened on 29/6/1993. Th church building was consecrated by Bishop George Browning on St Peter's Day 2003. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 17/10/2025.
