The Canberra Reid Korean Church now uses the former Methodist church building for its activities. It is not clear if the present Canberra Reid Korean Church, is the same as the former Canberra Korean Uniting Church, with a name change, or a new Church not part of the Uniting Church. The church building was originally erected for the Methodist Church, and was opened by the Rev John G Wheen, President-General on 8/10/1927 as the South Ainslie Methodist Church. It was the first Methodist Church built in the Territory. The church was renamed the Reid Methodist Church on 29/4/1929. The church became part of the Uniting Church on 22/6/1977, shortly before it celebrated its fiftieth anniversary, on 9/10/1977. During these fifty years the building was extended four times. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 8/10/2025.
