St Nicholas' Seamen's Church

The St Nicholas' Seamen's Church, Flagstaff Hill, Warrnambool holds services as arranged. The church (not the present building) was originally located at 139 Nicholson Street, Williamstown, and opened there in 1943, although the Mission had been operating in Williamstown since 1857. It ceased operation in Williamstown in 1966. In 1979 the entire furnishings of the Williamstown site were relocated to the present building in Flagstaff Historical Maritime Village [historical details of the current building are not known]. The church building and the transported furnishings, were opened at the present site on 11/10/1981. One of the stained glass windows was originally in the Warrnambool hospital.
