Comments

The former Euroka Uniting Church, closed about 1992 and the property was sold. The present building was opened on 28/4/1940. It was erected after the earlier church building, on the site was destroyed by fire in 1938. The earlier church built about 1922, is believed to have replaced an earlier building on the same site, erected by the Primitive Methodists, and dating from about 1872. The Wesleyan Methodists were active in the district at the same time so clarity about buildings and their earlier history needs more investigation. The first regular services in the local district were conducted by the Wesleyans about 1846, with the first Wesleyan chapel opened on 3/6/1860, on land donated by Mr William Wright1. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 9/11/2021.
