The present Ganmain Uniting Church building was opened and dedicated on 26/6/1912 by the Circuit Minister, the Rev W A Murray, and the Rev Meeks, President of the Conference. It replaced the wood and iron structure, still existing on the same block of land, which was opened by the Rev John Clifton of Wagga Wagga on 15/6/1894. The earliest Methodist service in the district was held in a private home in February 1892. Anglican services were also held in the buildings from 1899 to 1912, when their own church building was opened. In 1974 the Methodists and Presbyterians formed a joint parish, later becoming part of the Uniting Church. (The Presbyterian Church building was in Waterview St., behind the Police Station). The Ganmain Uniting Church celebrated its 75th anniversary on 7/6/1987.  More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 17/7/2021.
