Shire Gateway Uniting Church

The Shire Gateway Uniting Church, Sylvania had its genesis in the mid 1880s when meetings began in the Library of Mr Holts private home. The first church building, a wooden structure, was erected on the present site, and opened in August 1903. The land had been donated by Mr Frederick Holt. (The building is still used today as Heritage Hall). The present building was opened on 11/8/1968 by the Governor of NSW, Sir Roden Cutler, VC.
