The Northmead Uniting Church had its tentative beginnings in 1922, when Northmead was a small rural community. The first church building, a weatherboard and asbestos cement construction was opened by the Hon E K Bowden MHR on 2/3/1929 and dedicated by the Rev Wallace Dean, Chairman of Parramatta District.
