Comments

The North Ryde Community Church, (Congregational) began in a tent on 27/6/1954. In 1955 land was purchased to erect a church building, which was a borrowed portable structure opened and dedicated on 21/5/1955. The present church building was opened on 18/8/1962. On 7/5/1972 the Alexander Memorial Presbyterian Church, Lane Cove and the St Rowan's Presbyterian Church, North Ryde united with the North Ryde War Memorial Congregational Church to form a joint parish. On the 22 June 1977 the church became part of the Uniting Church in Australia. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 25/11/2020.
