The former Penneshaw Uniting Church is now closed and its property listed for sale. Although Methodist services had been held on Kangaroo Island for some time, this is the first church building erected on the island. It was generously supported by Mr James Buick, and was opened debt free in October 1883, by the Rev W A Potts. More historical information/photographs of the former churh/congregation are invited.
