The former Waitara Uniting (Methodist) Church, Waitara was closed in 2010 and the property sold. The Waitara Methodist Church began as a house church about 1913. Due to growth in the congregation a property was purchased in Edgeworth David Avenue, in 1917, and a wooden church hall erected. It became the Sunday School hall when the present church building was opened in October 1931. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
