Foundation stone records: To the Glory of God - This stone was laid - by - Mrs A D McCutcheon - on Saturday May 21.1927.

A stone tablet records: Foundation stone of the - Original church laid by - Mrs J Hender - on 22nd September 1900 - Relaid at the request - of the late L A Pontt - on 5th September 1938.

Foundation stone for the hall records: To the Glory of God - This stone was laid by - B B Jaensch Esq - February 5th 1955.

An historical plaque records: On September 22, 1900, Mrs James Hender laid the foundation stone of the original church which stood where the premises of the Eudunda Farmers' Cooperative Society were situated (now Foodland). - This present day church know as the 'New Church' was built in 1927 with the foundation stone laid on 21 May by Mrs A D Cutcheon. The Church Hall was built in 1955 and its foundation stone laid by B B Jaensch Esq. - Besides caring for the Tailem Bend community, the Minister of the time also exercised pastoral oversight for churches at Wellington, Naturi, Cooke Plains, Malinong, Moorlands, Jervois, Narrung and Meningie. He used to travel from town to town with a horse and cart ('buggy'). - The first couple who married here on 8 September 1928 were Eve Hill (local) and Ivan Clare.

The former Tailem Bend Uniting Church is now the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress community: Kalparrin. 'The main aim is to reignite and support the faith community of Kalparrin, and the surrounding towns of Murray Bridge and Tailem Bend, [assisting] in matters of faith, community engagement and development'.
