(Maryborough Chronicle, Wide Bay and Burnett Advertiser (Qld.: 1860 - 1947) Tues 3 Dec 1935, p2),  "SILVER JUBILEE - Tingoora Methodist Church - CELEBRATIONS HELD, WONDAI - November 29...It is recalled, that the first Methodist services at Tingoora were held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. D. Rose, from September 1908 till September 1910, after which they were held at Mr. S. Fenwick's store in Tingoora. A Sunday school was conducted at the Tingoora State School building from 1908 till 1910, the Postmaster then being Mr. T. MacKenzie. The first meeting to discuss the question of raising funds for the erection of a church was held in June 1909, and was presided over by the Rev. A. A. Mills. The stump capping took place on Saturday, July 24, 1910, and the church was opened and dedicated on Sunday, November 6, when three special services were held, the preacher being the Rev. B. Frederick, then of Maryborough...The ladies' guild has worked nobly in raising the money whereby the work could be finished clear of debt...

Mr. Hilder, one of the foundation members of the Tingoora Church, recalled some of the early history of the work, making special reference to the work of the late Mrs. Jane Campbell and the pioneers of the cause at Tingoora. A concluding message by this speaker was in the form of an appeal for continued loyalty and devotion for the things of Christ.

Messrs. Paul Moore and Gus. Muller, stewards of the circuit, conveyed greetings, and expressed their delight that Tingoora had made such a forward move to complete their church, which was free from any financial burden. Mr. T. W. Johnston also spoke on behalf of Home Creek church, and congratulated the people on the attainment of their semi-jubilee. Mr. W. H. Clark, representing the Wondai Baptist Church, conveyed greetings on behalf of pastor and people. A vote of thanks by the chairman to the various artists brought the function to a close, and the company adjourned to the church grounds for refreshments, the ladies' church help society again rendering their assistance."  (Extract - https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/149958983?searchTerm=Silver%20Jubilee%20-%20Tingoora%20Methodist%20Church).
