Barney View Uniting Church - Former

The former Barney View Uniting Church has closed, and the property was handed to the local community (2016). The church had been part of the Presbytery of South Moreton and the Uniting Church Synod of Queensland. The church building had been built by nine men with logs felled on their own farms and carted to and from the sawmill by James Johnson. The site for the church was also donated by James Johnson. The church building was opened in 1908. The Beaudesert Times 27/10/2016 reports that the church built by locals in 1908, with timber sourced from nearby trees will be "handed back" to the locals at a ceremony on 6/11/2016.
