The Johnsonville Uniting Church is part of the Presbytery of Gippsland and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The church functions in conjunction with the Lakes Entrance Uniting Church. The church building was erected about 1892 for the Congregational Church, and also used for Methodist services from the early 1920s. Congregational services ceased about 1944 and the property was purchased by the Methodist Church in 1961. The church became part of the Uniting Church in 1977.
