The former Melrose Uniting Church has closed, and the property has been sold (2025). The church had been part of the Generate Presbytery of the Uniting Church Synod of South Australia. The church building was erected for the Wesleyan Methodist Church, and opened in Februart 1871. It became part of the Methodist Church upon Union about 1900, and part of the Uniting Church in 1977. Earlier services were held in the Melrose Court House by the Rev B G Edwards, who had been appointed to Melrose in 1869. A Sunday School hall was erected in the 1960s. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 4/6/2025 & 31/7/2025.
