The hall was built by 'Edwards and Smith of Maldon in 1873 as a Temperance Hall'. and taken over by The Salvation Army about 1884 to 1903. The Salvation Army - Maldon Corps was part of The Salvation Army Australia, and international Christian movement. No other details are known.
