The Port Lincoln Free Presbyterian Church, has relocated and the property was sold in 2023. The church is a member of the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster. The church began in the lower Eyre Peninsula in 1968, when a group began meeting in private homes for fellowship, before being formally constituted as the Eyre Bible Fellowship on 4/5/1969. The meetings continued to use sermon tapes some from the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster and on 26/11/1976 it became a member of that denomination. The formal ministry in Port Lincoln began on 1/1/1975 with the Rev Fred Buick in the home of the late Mrs Elizabeth Feltus. Under the ministry of the Rev Fred Buick and later the Rev Michael Patrick a permanent church building was acquired in Forbes Street. The church continued at this site until it moved to 21 Matilda Street in 2023 (see separate entry - 5606). [Sourced from: https://www.portlincolnfreepresbyterian.org/history/]. More historical information/photographs of the church congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 17/3/2024.
