The Scots Presbyterian Church, Allora is part of the Presbytery of Darling Downs. The church building was opened and dedicated on 26/7/1980. The building has an interesting background. The original building was opened on 23/11/1892 as St Paul's Anglican Church, Back Plains, by William Webber, Archbishop of Brisbane. When the Back Plains Parish became part of the Clifton Parish in 1943, the church was closed on 8 August, 1943. In 1953 the building was moved to Nobby and rededicated as St Paul's Anglican Church, Nobby. The final Anglican service was held in the building there on 11/5/1975. In July 1979 the Presbyterians, who did not enter into Union to form the Uniting Church in 1977, bought the church building and moved it to Allora. It is now serves as the Scots Presbyterian Church building, in Allora.  More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photograph uploaded 02/03/2016.
