The Queanbeyan Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbytery of Canberra in the Presbyterian Church in the State of New South Wales. The earliest Presbyterian services in the Queanbeyan district are believed to have been held in 1838, by a visiting minister. More regular services commenced in the 1850s, when the Rev William Ritchie, from Yass, held quarterly services in the Old Kent Hotel. While land grants for the building of a church were secured in 1852, but not formalised until 1859, many delays in the construction of the church occurred. It was not until the arrival of the permanent minister, the Rev William Mackenzie in 1870, that funding and building plans were resurrected. The church building was completed, and held its first service on 8/3/1874. The church hall was erected in 1924. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 5/10/2025.
