A kerbside plaque records: Presbyterian Church - 1953 - The Presbyterian Church congregation conducted services in the Literary Institute from 1916 - 1953. The Pleasant Hills War Memorial Church was opened in May 1953. The Methodist and Anglican congregations also worshipped in the building for a number of years. The Church was sold and converted to a private residnce in 2009.
