The Darwin Community Church, Millner had its genesis at the Retta Dixon Home for boys and girls. In 1956 Mr & Mrs Stan Eldridge began to hold Sunday School and services in their home. This developed with a church being formally established on 3/9/1961 in Stuart Park.
