The Gayndah Wesleyan Methodist Church is part of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia. The first local church service was held in a private home on 5/9/1976. Services continued to be held at this location for about two years, before moving th the RSL Hall for the next four years. The Baptist church building was then leased from 1983, and purchased a couple of years later, as the Baptist Church had ceased services in the town.  The first full time pastors, the Rev Graeme Carnell and his wife, took up their appointment in 1977. A number of pastors were appointed over the years till 2003, when the church, except for a short period from 2015, was without a full time pastor. The next full time pastor, Mark Henry and his wife Lesley, were appointed in 2021. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 1/8/2017.
