Johnburgh Methodist Church - Former

The former Johnburgh Methodist Church held its final service in 1977, about the same time as the formation of the Uniting Church. The property was then sold. The earliest Wesleyan Methodist services in the area where held about 1882, with the first church building opened in 1889. It was badly affected by ants and was replaced by the present building, which was erected on land donated by Mr Hombsch, and opened on 14/9/1924. The first church building was erected for the Wesleyan Methodist Church, which became part of the Methodist Church, at Union, in 1902.
