Peterborough West Methodist Church - The expansion of Peterborough West in the 1920s prompted the Methodists to open Hill View Church in 1929. Church services, Sunday School, Ladies Aid, Christian Endeavour, Girls Club, Boys Cheerio Club, Choir, Tennis, Pet Shows were some of the activities of the busy Peterborough West congregation. The Sunday School reached a maximum of 136 students in 1954. The winding down of the railway meant the need for the second church declined. A final service was held in 1977.

The former Hill View/Peterborough West Methodist Church, closed in 1977. The church had been opened in 1929 due to the increase in the population in the area, and the need for another Methodist church. The church was very active during its life, but declined and was closed with the decline in the railway. No other details are known.
