The Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Auburn is part of the Parish of Sevenhill and the Diocese of Adelaide. The church building is a former Wesleyan Methodist Church. It was opened on 16/6/1867. When The Bible Christian Church and the Wesleyan Methodist Church amalgamated about 1900 to form the Methodist Church, worship was held in the former Bible Christian Church building, and the Wesleyan building was used as a Sunday School. The Sunday School building was subsequently sold in 1916 to the local Catholic community, who established Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. At that time with the decline in the importance of Udalya and that of the St Patrick's church, St Patrick's was closed and replaced by Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, which was dedicated on 19/11/1916 (Sourced from: https://www.sevenhillrivertonmanooraparishes.org.au/our-lady-of-peace-auburn).More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 15/2/2024.
