The former Mintaro Wesleyan Methodist Church has closed, and the property has been sold (1994?). The church building was opened in 1854, and was the first church building in Mintaro. A second larger church building, to meet the needs of the expanding congregation, was opened on 19/5/1867 and became the first United Methodist Church in Australia. The 1854 building becoming the church hall. The church celebrated its centenary on 30/31 October 1954, with the President of the Conference in attendance, and as the preacher on the day. The church became part of the Uniting Church upon its formation in 1977. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 10/2/2024.
