The St Martin's Lutheran Church, Bugle Hut was opened on 30/3/1923. 'The first Lutheran service was conducted on 13th May 1913 in the home of Mr T. Reichstein. Services continued to be held in private homes until the Institute was built and services were held there. A building fund was established in 1923 and Mr Jack Handorf donated land for the site of a new church...The church was built by Mr J. Anderson, with much of the work and materials being supplied by the congregation. The building and furnishings cost £950. The church was dedicated as St Martin's Church on 30th March 1924. By 1935, the church was free of debt. A porch was added to the church to celebrate its 25th Anniversary' [Sourced from:. https://data.environment.sa.gov.au/content/heritage-surveys/murray-mallee-(heritage-of-the)-1998.pdf ~ p304].
