The St John's Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Ebenezer congregation began in January 1852. Services were held in a private home until the first church building was dedicated in 1859. It was replaced by the current church building, which was opened with its first service on 9/4/1905. The church celebrated its 150th anniversary in May 2002.
