The Gereja Kristen Indonesia di Australia (Indonesian Christian Church in Australia), Yagoona is part of the Lutheran District of NSW & ACT and the Lutheran Church of Australia. The church had its genesis as the Indonesian Christian Community when it was formed on 31/10/1962. It has evolved through various structures over the years until it was formally opened as a church on 23/5/1993. On 21/4/2002 the church formally became a part of the Lutheran Church of Australia. The church as PMKI and GKIA was located at St Paul's Lutheran Church at 3 Stanley Street, Darlinghurst, before the congregation moved into this church building on 1/11/2014. It then acquired the building in 2018, which had previously been owned by the Concordia Lutheran Church (see separate entry - 2199). More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photograph uploaded 12/10/2024.
