"The first Sacred Heart Church was one of the buildings that were moved from one stop on the railway line to the next as it advanced westwards. It was erected - after it arrived from Jericho with the railway in 1886 - on the corner of Willow and Yew Streets.

It was replaced in 1898 when F r Lorretucci was in charge. The original building was moved once again to become an extra classroom for the first Convent school" [Sourced from:https:///barcaldine-peopleplacethings.org/roman-catholic-sacred-heart-church/ .
