The St Joseph's Catholic Church Como - Oyster Bay is part of the Parish of Como-Oyster Bay and part of the Archdiocese of Sydney. The parish was established as the Como/St Peter's Parish in 1954, with the first St Peter's church erected in Taplan Street. The Rev George Solomon was appointed the first parish priest. The present St Joseph's church building, in Oyster Bay, was opened in 1985. In 2024 the church celebrated its seventieth anniversary.
