The Our Lady of the Way Catholic Church, Bundeena was blessed and opened by Cardinal Norman Gilroy on 10/12/1951. On the 6/5/1973 it was blessed after renovations by Cardinal James Freeman and became known as the Church of St James. On 1/7/2007 it was blessed by Bishop David Cremin after further renovations and again became Our Lady of the Way Catholic Church.
