The Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral, Broken Hill is part of the Parish of Broken Hill and the Diocese of Wilcannia-Forbes. It is also the seat of the Bishop of Wilcannia-Forbes. The ACNC records the church as being established in 1885. The present church building was erected in 1905. No other details are known.
