St Mary's Catholic Church - Former

The former St Mary's Catholic Church, Timor has closed, and the property has been listed for sale (2014?). The church had been in the Parish of Maryborough and the Diocese of Ballarat. The present church building was erected/opened about 1930. It was erected on land donated by the Du Bourg Brothers, and replaced an erarlier wooden structure nearby. The church was built using some voluntary labour, although when completed had incurred a debt of 1,500 pounds. Through regular social events, organised by a dedicated committee, over the next two years, the debt was extinguished. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
