Its foundation stone records: A M D G - Blessed and laid by - The Right Rev John Barry DD - on - 21st April 1929 - this convent - is the gift and memorial of - Margaret & Amy Lynch - Rev A H O'Connor, Rector.

The Christ the King Catholic Church, Taralga is in the Parish of Taralga and the Diocese of Canberra & Goulburn. The present church building was opened and dedicated on 28/10/1934 by Bishop John Barry, DD. This building replaced the earlier St Ignatius's Catholic Church, which had opened in 1864, and was closed and sold (see separate entry - 2580). No other details are known.
