The St John's Catholic Church, Evans Head building was erected in 1941, largely influenced by the establsihment of an RAF base there. The church fittings came from many sources, including donations from the Carmelite Monastery in Lismore and St Peter's at New Italy. A convent was erercted in 1992 for the order of Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception1. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 23/11/2018 & 26/2/2021.
