(Bombala Times - 1 August 1919) "Peace Sermon. On. Sunday last, at St Mary's Catholic Church, Bomibala, and St. John's Church, Cathcart, at Thanksgiving Services, the Rev. Father John Roche concluded his series of sermons on Peace which He delivered throughout his extensive parish."
The former St John's Catholic Church building is now privately owned. No other details are known about the former church. The building is now in a fairly derelict state and presently being used to store hay. It is of unpainted weatherboad construction.
