The Sts John & Paul Catholic Church, Tarlee is part of the St Mary of the Cross MacKillop/Northern Light Parish, (with St Andrew's, Balaklaca; St Benedict's, Freeling; Our Lady of the Nativity, Hamley Bridge; St Rose of Lima, Kapunda; St Malachy's, Mallala and St Vincent de Paul, Port Wakefield) in the Archdiocese of Adelaide. The church was opened for worship on 12/8/1877, by Bishop Reynolds. The building was erected on land donated by Mr Thomas Colbert.
