The St Therese's Catholic Church is in the Denistone/St Therese's Parish and part of the Archdiocese of Sydney. The church was established to provide spiritual support to the Ryde Hospital, and when the site for the parish school was purchased in 1938, a house was transformed into The Chapel of the Little Flower. With the formal establishment of the parish on 11/12/1948, The Chapel of the Little Flower was renamed the Church of St Therese. The present church building was erected during 1961 and opened and blessed on 10/12/1961 by Cardinal Gilroy. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
