The former St Ignatius Catholic Church, Taralga closed and the property was sold. The church had been in the Parish of Taralga and the Diocese of Canberra & Goulburn. The St Ignatius church was replaced by the new Christ the King Catholic Church building in 1934 (see separate entry - 2580). The St Ignatius church building was erected on land donated by Sir Edward Macarthur, with the first Mass celebrated in it on 26/10/1864, by Fr McAlroy. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 13/2/2025.
