The Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Cowell is part of the Parish of Cleve and the Diocese of Port Pirie. The present church building was opened on 22/6/1980, on land bequeathed by Mr Sam Haskett. Early church services were held in the Institute and from 1979 in the Lutheran church building, until their present building was opened.
