The Sheffield District Baptist Church is associated with the Baptist Union of Tasmania. The present church building was opened on 31/1/1931 by the Rev McIntosh Brown. It replaced an earlier 'Tabernacle' church building which had been erected by Mr William Gibson in 1891, but which had been destroyed by fire on 23/3/1930. The Sunday School Hall was opened in 1932. This church is one of only two remaining in the district. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 4/4/2023.
