The Merryland Baptist Church is a member of the Baptist Union of NSW & ACT. The church had its beginnings in 1901 as a preaching station of the Parramatta Baptist Church. Land was donated by Mr George Hollier in 1905 for a church building, and a weatherboard building was opened on 7/1/1907. The church was formally established on 14/5/1930 and a new church building was erected in 1933. It has been enlarged a number of times over the years. In 2001 the church celebrated its centenary.
