The Lithgow Baptist Church, Bowenfels is affiliated with the Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT. The Lithgow church had its beginnings over 100 years ago. 'For the first 100 years the church met and ministered out of the old church building in Mort St' (see separate entry - 2790). In 2007 it moved to its current site, to what was the disused St Francis Xavier Catholic Church building, which had been built about 1966.
