The Peake Baptist Church is part of the Peake - Sherlock Baptist Circut. The building was originally erected as a bakehouse and opened in August 1908 to serve refreshments to railway passengers. In 1922 it was bought by the Home Mission Department for use as a Baptist Church. Water for baptisms was an issue, having to be transported some miles or in later years provided by a hose from the manse garden. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 10/2/2020.
