The former Narrandera Baptist Church is now closed, and the property was sold (2020). The church building was opened in October 1891 for the Wesleyan Methodist Church, which became part of the Methodist Church, at Union, in 1900, and the Uniting Church in 1977. Before the erection of this, their own building, the Wesleyan Methodists shared with the Salvation Army, and also met in a hay and corn store in Audley Street. The first Wesleyan service held in Narrandera was conducted by Dr Sellors in the Royal Hotel (year not clear). The church celebrated the diamond jubilee of its opening on 9/9/1951. The Methodist Church closed with the formation of the Uniting Church, and the congregation joined the Uniting congregation at the former St John's Presbyterian Church property. The former Baptist Church which held its services in a building at the cnr Adams St and Douglas St, purchased the former Methodist Church building, and used it for worship until it closed, and the property was sold. More historical information/photographs of the former church(es)/congregation(s) are invited. Photographs uploaded 11/11/2019 & 21/7/2021.
