The Capital Bible Church, Hawker is an independent, community church, not organisationally linked with any other church, but enjoying fellowship with other churches of like faith and practice. The 'Capital Bible Church was establsihed in March 1974 - initially meeting at the Lakeside Hotel in Canberra, then at the Jamison Centre, then at Hawker College - moving into its 'new' building in 1984...The church has been successfully ministering to the Canberra community for 50 years.'
